World Sports Photography Awards.
The World Sports Photography Awards celebrates sports photography in all its forms, with professional and amateur categories. The Awards are completely free of charge for photographers to enter and are judged by senior international figures from sport, media, brands and photography, making these awards a genuine showcase of the very best imagery in the world.
The following image won third place in the aquatic catagory in the 2026 awards.
Read coverage of the award in the ICF International Canoe Federation newsletter here, the article titled “How a photo elevated an Irish town’s Canoe Polo club to a global stage” tells the story of Mullingar Harbour Canoe Polo Club and my award winning image.
